the ui of this site gets a little more complicated:

• code written by me, autumn, is licensed under the nonviolent public license, including css and js
• this site is built with eleventy, which is licensed under MIT
• the nextstep ui, including some or perhaps all of the icons, is (c) NeXT, but i'm not sure if that means it's now under Apple's dominion or NeXT's - either way, it's used under fair use, probably
• some of the app icons may actually derive from windowmaker or gnustep - which are both under the GPL of some form, with both being somewhat vague
• the favicon is modified from haiku, the artwork for which is released under MIT

(by the way, you should check out nextstep / windowmaker / haiku / gnustep / etc! this doesn't help me legally nor is it meant to, this is just a genuine sidebar to shout out these cool things)

in addition, as of the seventeenth of november, 2022, i have not yet received any warrants, secret court orders, or gag orders. timely publication of any canary should not be expected (... which certainly weakens the canary, but hopefully does not kill it outright)
